Are you looking for a speaker that knows just how to create an atmosphere of empowerment, inclusion, vulnerability, and authenticity? Maybe you need somebody with extensive experience as a patient, or with certain medical conditions to speak to your office, class, or on a panel. Perhaps what you’re searching for is a speaker that can light the fire of passion within your audience, and motivate them to search their souls and their stories for their own unique purpose.
You’ve come to the right place.
As a professional speaker, patient, advocate, and rare disease warrior, I’m passionate about sharing everything I’ve learned over the years to inspire empowerment, create awareness, and impact change. Not only do I know what it’s like to be a patient, but I’ve also endured incredibly challenging times, overcome impossible obstacles, and come out the other side – resilient and knowing my purpose. Through the power of speaking, open communication, and education, we can make a difference in the lives of your audience together.
Whether it’s a small group, a panel or a keynote at a large conference, when I’m on stage, I speak about my experiences authentically and from the heart. I speak with empathy and spark to audiences that are waiting to find inspiration and discover their passion and purpose. When speaking about health topics, I teach about complex medical conditions and the patient experience in a way that’s down-to-earth and easy to understand. By being completely honest, vulnerable, and open, I can promise your audience will get the best insight and the most out of our time together.
To make sure that each speaking opportunity is as impactful as possible, I fully customize my talks based on the needs of your audience, employees, or community. Let’s talk about your needs, and we’ll work together to create the exact presentation you are looking for.

Examples of Places & Ways I Speak
I’m always looking for ways to share my experience, my journey, and my hope with others so that we can create community, impactful change, and more positive outcomes for all. My hope is that through these presentations or a customized one - we can work together to truly make a positive difference in people's lives.
Some Topics I Speak On
In our lives, there are a lot of things that we don’t get to choose. They say “pick your battles,” but sometimes your battles pick you instead. Is your life simply happening to you, or are you truly living it? That comes down to just one thing: choice. I’ll show you the power that transforming your mindset can have on how you see yourself, your life, and your future. When you learn to reframe your circumstances using choice, you’ll be able to take your power back.
There are two types of people - drivers and passengers. Passengers sit idly by on someone else’s journey, waiting to arrive at the destination. Drivers, though, are in their own lane - playing an active role in where they’re going and making conscious decisions for themselves along the way. Let’s uncover what it is that makes someone a driver rather than a passenger - living with intention, realizing that we can’t control everything (but we can control how we respond), and knowing how to advocate and make impactful decisions for yourself. Someone’s gotta make the playlist for this road trip through life, and it should be you!
It’s really easy to blame things on the system, and it’s true - the state of the healthcare system is less than ideal. It can even be straight-up harmful. However, there’s a piece of this puzzle that’s missing, and we need to recognize and own it - as patients, we are part of the system, too. When we realize that part of the reason doctors don’t know how to diagnose and treat chronic illnesses might be because not enough of us are truly honest and straightforward about our experiences, we can become advocates. Now, it isn’t our responsibility to fix the system, and nobody is entitled to our emotional labor - but the system can’t change unless all parts of it (patients included) are taking steps to make it change. Let’s change it together.
We spend so much time - our whole lives, really - trying to discover who we are and what our purpose in this world is. It doesn't have to be an impossible journey. Haley's "Passion + People = Purpose" method teaches how to take a step back and truly, meaningfully reflect on your past in order to build your future.
We'll discover your passions and what gives you that ever-elusive feeling of fulfillment, and then we'll find ways to use those same passions to help others. Let's uncover your purpose together.
For so many chronically ill patients, the story is always the same: you're fine. It's all in your head. You just have anxiety. Medical gaslighting and symptom dismissal is a dangerous and widespread issue in healthcare. The problem is especially exacerbated for women and people of color seeking medical help for chronic conditions. This leads to many people being misdiagnosed and undiagnosed. It can be too difficult or intimidating to know what to say or do to get answers.
Together, we'll walk through all of the ways that you can best advocate for yourself (or a loved one) at the doctor, so that you can feel more supported and confident on your way to getting the care you deserve.
Living with a chronic condition is never easy, but Haley knows firsthand that living with a rare chronic condition presents its very own set of unique obstacles and challenges. It's not as simple as spending a couple of hours online reading studies and articles, because there may not be studies and articles. When only a very small number of people have a particular disease, doing research on that disease becomes very difficult. Insurance companies may not cover that disease. Doctors may have never heard of it. There is a ton to consider and know when living with a rare disease.
It can be overwhelming - but even though it might feel like it sometimes, you're not alone. Resources and help are out there, and navigating life with a rare disease is possible.
Many people living with chronic illness and disabilities are unable to work traditional jobs. For some, the physical demands are unreasonable. For others, leaving the house as an immunocompromised or immunosuppressed patient is too unsafe.
Whatever your reason, you can still build an amazing, rewarding, fulfilling career - right from the comfort and safety of home. Haley will walk you through how she did it, and guide you through everything you need to know about being a successful entrepreneur and full-time patient.
